I was recently commissioned by the City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreations Department to photograph for an upcoming campaign and a refresh of their photograph inventory.
The goal was to visit as many parks and facilities as possible (in a very short time frame) to capture people utilizing the parks–this meant the majority of the shots would include action. Over the course of 6 days, I managed to shoot many sports including volleyball, basketball, parkour, skateboarding, and I even had a reunion with my old pals, the Crossroads City Derby for a scrimmage.
The best part of this gig was meeting all the friendly folks; many of the subjects gladly took the time to work with me and get some memorable shots!
